Srinagar, January 24 (KNO) : The KAS aspirants who recently appeared in the examination on Thursday staged a protest against the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) over what they termed as ‘financial irregularities and scam’ in the commission.
Scores of KAS aspirants assembled here at Srinagar’s press enclave and chanted slogans in favour of justice.
According to KNO correspondent, the aspirants alleged that there were financial irregularities in the commission as despite having only Rs six Lakhs available for the year, the commission has hired a top rated Advocate to plead their case in Supreme Court against the ‘scam’ in selecting the aspirants here.
Hamid Rather, one of the aspirants said that the commission has hired a top advocate in SC to plead their case in SC over the case filed regarding fraud in selecting the aspirants in the recently held KAS examinations.
He added that “we want to ask the commission where from they are getting such huge money to provide to the Advocate for pleading their case. Isn’t this amount coming from the aspirants who have been selected undeservingly?” Rather added that there should be probe into the selection of aspirants in the recently held KAS examination. (KNO)
